What can I say 2018 was insane! The year kicked off winning a ‘brides of Kerry’ award not just for hair but for makeup also. Following that I opened a salon in Kerry, I had no idea how busy it was going to be from the first day I opened.
Before I knew it I was in the middle of the wedding season traveling all over Ireland when I won two awards from RSVP magazine, one for ‘Best freelance’ and the second a wedding award for Bridal hair and beauty.
July saw me off to Dublin to the Best of the Best photographic awards where I was finalist in four categories including bridal makeup.
I was caught by surprise one day when I happened to stumble upon an image on Style me pretty Insta page only to realize it was my hair do! For those of you not caught up in the wonderful world of weddings this is a biggie, trust me!
In October I spent a week in London at the Vidal Sassoon academy this time upskilling my cutting techniques. The majority of Mondays were spent attending courses or teaching my upstyling courses. I have introduced lots of new services to the salon like Great lengths extensions, 12 week blowdry, Tanning and our nail technician Shauna is totally amazing.
I got to meet some of my hair hero’s this year like Mark Hayes and Paul Stafford. As I don’t like to sit still for long in September I started a City and guilds barbering course and will graduate this March.
It was an amazing year and its all down to you my loyal customers and my brides that continue to recommend me
Thank you all so much, I don’t say it enough but I really do appreciate you all,
